  1. According to ASME B31.1:2018, tables 132.1.1-1/ 132.2-1
  2. Above 600°F (315°C), the rate of heating and cooling shall not exceed 600°F/hr (315°C/h) divided by onehalf the maximum thickness of material in inches at the weld, but in no case shall the rate exceed 600°F/hr (315°C/h).
  3. For P-No’s 7 and 10I – Cooling rate shall not be greater than 100°F (55°C) per hour in the range above 1,200°F (650°C), after which the cooling rate shall be sufficiently rapid to prevent embrittlement.
